introduction
Welcome to Saint Gabriel's Guitar Ensemble Website.An Introduction about Our CCA. What Is THIS Mouradian you see? Well, it is Our Name for this Ensemble. The Word Mouradian is from a Spanish and Greek Word which Means 'To Wish!'. Mouradian was formed in 2007 when a group of young Guitarists came together. Not Every One has the talent to play the Guitar but the most important is having the passion to playing it. From Secondary One to Secondary Four Our members have been learning and achieving. In 2009 and in 2011, we achieved a Gold and a Silver for SYF respectively. We Believe that if we have the discipline, We will Absolutely do well |

Guitar Practice - Tues, 18 August - Friday, August 14, 2009 @ 8:45 PM
Hey guys;
Firstly, here's wishing Sir a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :) Hope you liked the mini celebration thingum. Haha.
Okay now back to today. Please remember to listen to sir when he tells you to shut up and jolly well do so. Please do not force us to having shout and raise our voices at you all the time. If every practice we have to do that, we're gonna lose our voice and become mute. Secondly, bring your tuners for all practices! *Remember this cos as I said, we're lacking in the amounts of tuners and to save time the more tuners we have the faster we can get things done and prepared. |
Guitar Practice - Friday, 14 August - Wednesday, August 12, 2009 @ 8:33 PM
Hello people;
here's just a summary of what we addressed you yesterday; 1. Please Download all the necessary tracks and practice practice practice! Like come on guys, the links and all are already posted in the previous post. Please download your part + the actual song and practice. Don't make Chong Jing a loner. 2. NO MOCKERY! As I am stressing for the last time, and to keep a long long story short, respect your fellow guitar mates. No effing here and there, showing the 3rd finger or calling each other names that cause demoralisation or hurt to one's self esteem. 3. Guitar Bags Remember, you're practicing in the computer lab 3; not the rubbish dump. Please line your bags in a straight line or at least in a manner that is appealing to one's eye. No more dumping your bags like as if you're throwing something into the dustbin and strictly no guitar bags should be next to you during practice. Also, practice on Tuesday now starts at 3 pm because of certain logistic issues. So please report to the lab at 3 pm now. Not that you can't report at 2.30 lah, just that no one will be there to open the door for you. Lastly, here's to tell you that practice is this Friday, 14 August - 1.45 pm @ CPA3 / 4. See you! :) Ian |

No Guitar Practice This Friday - 7 August 2009 - Wednesday, August 5, 2009 @ 8:45 PM
Hello everyone!
Okay, basically yesterday we just reminded you guys to practice your parts oh-so diligently. Yep, basically it's whatever sir said yesterday so try your best okay? :) Work hard, slack hard ^^ Anyway. There will be NO PRACTICE THIS FRIDAY (07 August) as it's our beloved country's birthday celebration. *Okay why do I suddenly sound so patriotic and lame.* Please do not turn up outside the music room / CPA lab cos' there will be no one to open any doors. So do go and enjoy yourselves to the fullest; make good use of the 4 days you'll be having. Remember - Holidays don't come often to your doorstep. So remember to practice and practice in the midst of your fun too! (: Hence we'll all see you Next Tuesday for practice. I will give out next Tuesday's practice timings when the dates come closer. So check out this blog regularly if you can :) Okay I know I have left out some of your names out in the profile page. *My greatest apologies* As this blog is still under construction and I do not know all of you all so personally yet, I may have forgotten to put your name in. SO, please tag and let me know what class you're from too, just like what Eisen did. Yepyep, that's all for now. Take care guys :) Ian |
Guitar Practice - Tues, 4 August - Saturday, August 1, 2009 @ 12:26 PM
Hello everyone;
Here is just a summary of what we addressed you at yesterday's practice: 1. Please take practices / PT seriously. No monkey-ing about at all times. PT is a time where things MUST be taken seriously. Nothing is funny, and we are not joking with you. If we were, it wouldn't be called "PT". It will be called clowning. Also, we don't want to have to keep resorting to raise our voices at you to settle down all the time during practices. It'll only make both parties unhappy with each other. Remember: An ensemble is made up of Guitar Players, not clowns. An Ensemble made up of clowns and monkeys is not an ensemble; it's a circus. 2. Respect your fellow teachers, seniors and your friends. Do not mock at anyone or spread false rumors about people. This includes showing / speaking vulgarity. Disciplinary action will be taken against those who continue doing so, as this is hurting your friends / seniors / teachers. 3. Bring your tuners for ALL practices. Since we have limited tuners and there are so many of you, bring your own tuners to save time and share it amongst your fellow guitar friends. We will continue taking out the tuners from the cupboards but this does not mean you do not bring your own tuner if you have one. *** Okay, that's roughly what we wanted to emphasise on yesterday. Please apply it and take things seriously. I am still waiting for Sir to send me the Skaters' Waltz MIDI file so I can upload it for you guys to download and practice. Be patient and in the mean time, practice your parts if you have the time yeah. Next practice will be on Tuesday, 4th August at 2.30 pm - CPA3/4. As the H1N1 ban is already lifted, Assemblies will resume as per normal starting next week onwards. So if there is an assembly for either Lower / Upper sec, practice will start at 3 pm. Final details will be given out soon. That's all; have fun during the weekends and take this opportunity to rest [if not, practice] (: Ian; |
